Andre Onana’s Cameroon team is facing the risk of being kicked out of AFCON 2023 soon, after a 1-3 defeat to Senegal.
After missing Cameroon’s opening match due to flight delay, Andre Onana was named in the starting lineup against Senegal in the African Cup group stage.

However, things got worse with MU’s expensive contract, when he had to go into the net to pick up the ball three times.

Onana cannot help Cameroon avoid defeat

Just 16 minutes after the ball rolled, Andre Onana stood motionless, watching the ball roll into the net after Ismaila Sarr’s shot hit Cameroon defender and changed direction.

One fan sarcastically posted on social media: “Onana seems like she was born to concede goals. That will never change.”

Another fan commented: “Onana didn’t move or react in the first goal. He’s like a mannequin.”

The fact that MU ranked 7th in the Premier League, conceding 29 goals in 21 matches made fans even more skeptical about the value of the 47 million pound contract with Andre Onana.

A Red Devils fan stated bluntly: “I have complete statistics on Onana in the last 10 matches. Honestly, MU made a mistake when signing him.”

Having only won 1 point after two matches, Cameroon is at risk of being eliminated early in the group stage of AFCON 2023.
