Lakers Injury Report: LeBron James & Anthony Davis Questionable Against Rockets

Both LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy) and Anthony Davis (bilateral Achilles tendinopathy) are classified as questionable for the game that the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to play against the Houston Rockets on Monday night. The Lakers have issued their injury report for the game.

In addition, Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain) and Gabe Vincent (left knee surgery) are still considered to be out of action as they continue to rehabilitate from their individual ailments.

It should not come as a surprise that James and Davis are included on the injury report since they have been on it for the whole season and are coming off of a victory over the Golden State Warriors that went into double overtime. In that game, James and Davis played 48 and 45 minutes, respectively.

The knee that Davis received in the hip during the third quarter caused him to fall to the ground; nevertheless, he was finally able to return to the game at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Davis made the statement that his hip was feeling well after the game, despite the fact that he wasn’t moving very well.

Davis had hip spasms earlier in the season, so it is encouraging to note that they are not included on the injury report this time around. Davis has been dealing with these issues for quite some time.

As a result of the workloads that James and Davis have been carrying during the course of this season, it would not be at all unusual to see them sit out one of the Lakers’ back-to-back games, which are scheduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday. The game in question may be against the Atlanta Hawks.

However, having James and Davis available for the game on Monday would be very beneficial for Los Angeles, given that the game is a conference matchup against a club that is just behind them in the rankings. It is coming to the time in the season when every victory is vital in order to pull this club back into playoff contention. This is despite the fact that the Lakers continue to place the utmost importance on maintaining the health of its players.

If James, Davis, or both are unable to play, the Lakers still have enough to defeat a Rockets club that has lost six of their previous eight games. This is true even if at least one of them is unable to play.

When it comes to the Lakers, Alex Caruso laments the fact that LeBron James and Anthony Davis were not on the team.
In a recent victory, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Chicago Bulls, which resulted in the return of Alex Caruso, a former fan favorite who had previously played for the Lakers.

Following the game, Caruso remarked that he sometimes finds himself wondering what may have been if he had remained with the Lakers and continued to play with James and Davis until the end of the season.

Because the Lakers have been rumored to be interested in acquiring Caruso in the days leading up to the deadline, it is possible that a reunion is in the works.
