Liverpool star Luis Diaz has made a significant choice about his future at Anfield, amid interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain.According to SPORT, Diaz wants to join Barcelona during the summer transfer window, as the Catalan club seeks key additions for next season.
Barcelona intends to sign two or three players in the forthcoming transfer window, with the winger and midfield positions presently being prioritized. The Colombian star has been strongly linked with a move in recent months, and stories have surfaced indicating his desire to join the Spanish giants.
According to Colombian publication El Heraldo, Liverpool has set a price tag of €120-€145 million (£102m-£123m/$131m-164m) for Diaz if Barcelona wants to sign him. PSG, the Ligue 1 heavyweights, have also been linked with an interest as they prepare for Kylian Mbappe’s departure this summer.
The player is signed till 2027 and has been an important member of the squad throughout the 2023-24 season.
Diaz’s father, Luis Manuel Diaz, has previously remarked on his son’s potential move to Barcelona, saying it would be his ‘dream’ to play for the club.
“To be honest, I don’t know much about Barcelona right now. “It is true that Luis is a die-hard Barcelona fan, and going there would be his dream,” he told Win Sports.
“So far, I’d like to thank Porto and Liverpool for how they embraced and received him. Luis is a player who is easy to win over because of his personality, humility, work ethic, and dedication; thank God, he is a highly disciplined athlete. There would be no difficulty if Luis joined Barcelona, which is a top team and one of the finest in the world.”

For the time being, Diaz will concentrate on assisting his team to the greatest extent feasible.
